چکیده
Euterpe precatoria is a palm tree belonging to the Arecaceae family, occurring in Western and Central Brazilian Amazonia. Its fruit, which very appreciated Amazon region, produces pulp that consumed fresh form. production carried out almost exclusively by extractive farmers. In order establish adequate strategies sustain this genetic resource, we need knowledge about diversity structure natural populations. This study aimed evaluate influence of geographic distance on main populations E. Amazon. Leaves from 377 plants were collected 19 located 16 municipalities State Amazonas three Rondônia. Decoction of roots of the Amazonian palm açaí (Euterpe precatoria Mart.) is widely used by Brazilian and Peruvian people as an anti-inflammatory, to heal kidney and liver diseases and against snake bites. In this study, the antioxidant activity of extracts and flavonoids (quercetin, catechin, epicatechin, rutin and astilbin) isolated from roots and leaf stalks of E. precatoria was investigated ...
متن کاملThe socioeconomic context of the use of Euterpe precatoria Mart. and E. oleracea Mart. in Bolivia and Peru
BACKGROUND Traditional knowledge (TK) has enabled communities to adapt to changes in life conditions over centuries. However, this local context is being dramatically affected by recent changes through globalization and modernization of societies. In this paper we seek to identify socio-economic factors that are related to the knowledge and use of two palm species in mestizo and indigenous comm...

Allometric models to estimate biomass components such as stem mass Ms, foliage mass Ml, root mass Mr and aboveground mass Ma, were developed for the palm species Euterpe precatoria Mart., which is the most abundant tree species in the Amazon. We harvested twenty palms including aboveand below-ground parts in an old growth Amazonian forest in Brazil. The diameter at breast height D ranged from 3...
